Id really appreciate some insight on this one, before it starts deciding to resync gigs( yes gigs) of backed up files that have already been backed up.Synkron in ubuntu is as close as i could get to synctoy in windows, and i really like synctoy! Thanks for an awesome backup solution, other than that lil annoying thing everything else is working as expected atleast in the 2 weeks that ive used it!!!! Im starting to think that the cloning setting is causing this problem, but for the life of me i cant figure out why it would. But it doesn't restrict Synkron from updating already existing older versions of files by newer ones, Correct?) But that only got checked because i have Folder 2 set to clone Folder 1.Folder 2 is set, Do not backup updated files- Clone folder 1. I have synkron set to do 4 folders, Pictures- Documents- Videos- Music,(in seperate tabs btw, Its easier to keep track of my backups that way) I have the advanced settings set to, Do not backup updated files- Folder 1 settings are, Do not backup updated files( according to the documentation this setting does not keep a backup of the files that have been updated eg if i rename a file it doesnt keep a backup for restore, correct?)-Update existing files only (This option forbids Synkron to copy files to sync folders where they don't exist. It just bugs me that it keeps happening, whats odd is synkron swears that they have been altered at a specific time that they havnt been, not altered or viewed or well anything. Its not really that i care that its resyncing the files theres only like 40 or 50 that it resyncs, its just odd and unexpected behaviour. Whats odd is, if i try to reanalyse, after a sync, it says nothing needs to be synced( this would be normal behaviour as expected) but if i close the program and open it, again analyse, and again nothing needs to be synced( also as expected) Now if i reboot the laptop and open synkron and add a new file to any folder theres the files that synkron swears it synced over the first 30 times( yes they are in both folders after the first coulple times i thought maybe it missed them and was just making sure it got everything) To clearify this a bit, say i add some files to a few folders, then at night before i shut down i do a sync, all the files and any folders i have created get synced fine, but some of the very first files i synced when i first started using synkron also get resynced.

Hello, Im using synkron on ubuntu hardy heron from the ppa repositories, My problem is that any time i sync my folders, there are always the same sets being resynced.
